Home today with Gamma, who’s ill. Basically your dry cough and elevated body temperature. I jokingly promised to read a hundred stories to her today. Have about half a dozen to go. More tomorrow.

Very cold again today, but mink oil is keeping the car doors from freezing so far.

  1. Sorry about little Gamma. And here I thought mink oil was only good for preserving leather and my face. Great tip!

  2. get well soon, little Gamma. :)

  3. I’m home with DJ today. I’ll send him over and you can read to him, too?

Wait, I’m sick also. Can I come over and get read to?

  4. I could use a story, too. Do you have one with miniature helicopters?

I enjoy reading very much, and can do voices for the characters, but avoid that stuff right before bedtime because it keeps the kids awake. Anyone needs a story, come over I’ll read it to you.

About the miniature helicopters, I took your advice Jessica and let that cool and am now girding creative loins in preparation for getting back on it and plugging narrative holes starting in January.

I’ll send you the plugged version, if you don’t mind. Maybe I’ll put it online. Maybe I’ll try some wacky vanity publishing thing.

I have another one with blood-sucking orchids and enraptured Samoans, among other things, which could also use some hole-plugging… D’s seen that one… Perhaps I should have a go at that while the miniature helicopters cool.

  6. ah! me too! i especially love doing all the voices for The Cat in the Hat. heh. you haven’t lived til’ you’ve heard my ‘fish’ voice.
