Greetings from the interface of nature and technology

A little spider is spinning a web on my monitor. And I am sitting here watching, raptly.

Note to anyone from work who might stumble by here: I’m on my lunch break.

  1. Jeez- just how long do you get for a lunch break?

    60 short minutes.

  3. spiders…web. world wide web. pretty clever. ;) see, this is why i would make a GREAT spy, cos’ i can crack any code like *that*. i get it man. i’m on a level.

  4. I like to stand by the road and watch spiders make webs. I’m good at spotting them.

But people look at you funny. Once, I even explained “I’m not crazy, haha, I’m just watching a spider.” Then they sort of smiled and walked a way.

At the moment, I have a big (BIG) black spider caught under a bowl, at my feet. I’ll be escorting him outside.

Hey patrick, that’s more likely to be a she spider under the bowl. Many spiders make the groom the wedding feast. (The spider version of afterplay, I guess.)

Maybe its a male spider with Mig’s communication skills.

  7. I tried to get my spiders to hold still for a picture, so you could show your little monitor-spider pal, but they were having so much fun playing in the breeze that they came out kind of blurry.
