The absolute last thing that W. wants is for the truth about Enron to get out. I can’t help but laugh when I thnk of the time and money that the greed-heads spent trying to pin something on Bill and Hillary, and it now appears that the GOP poster boy is up to eyeballs in scandal.
Harken Energy may (it is devoutly hoped) be the equivalent of Whitewater. Paul Krugman (also of the NYT) points out that the $850K Bush got from the Harken stock sale is 4 times what Martha Stewart got from ImClone. I gleefully point out that it is also about 8.5 times what Hilary got from the cattle futures, and $850K more than the Clintons ever got from that stupid real estate deal.
