Sometime during my visit to my relatives last week it dawned on me that I am and always have been a huge jerk. My wife did not act surprised when I told her.
Presumably that’s why she married you. My son’s French teacher taught him to say “Men are pigs, and women love pigs” in French — she claimed it’s a common saying over there, and that she was teaching the culture. She didn’t mention anything about Austria though.
I believe that it’s in the contract for family to remind one of precisely that fact.
