When I got American Gods, I stayed up half the night reading it, and then just couldn’t bear to go to bed without finishing it, so I stayed up until five ayem and read it to the end. Next day at work I was miserable, but in a happy kind of way.
I was reading “Neverwhere”. I also bought American Gods, but gave that to my wife to wrap and give me for Christmas. This is going to be just the bestest Christmas ever.
Here’s a handy cat-medicating tip:
catnip.
Whatever it is you must apply onto or squirt into a cat, steep catnip in it. I have to bathe my cat in allerpet pretty much weekly – it’s like a leave-in shampoo – and he is not the water liking type. 1T catnip/liter and he’s into it.
Likewise the clindamycin I have to feed him twice daily for his recent tooth extraction (!): 1t catnip/4oz. and he’s ok with it.
Seriously, the cat thinks it’s treat time. Yay.
Sorry about that. Should I feel bad about it? :-)

Neverwhere is great. One of my favourite books… but somehow, I haven’t been able to read American Gods yet…
I think I’m scared that once I do I’ll have no new Neil to read…
