Open letter to the United Nations Secretary-General and the Director of the International Atomic Energy Agency
Dear Sirs,
Was Robert Palmer shooting a new video at the VIC, or what? What is up with all the miniskirts and knee-high pointy boots on all the secretaries?
Thanks in advance,
Mig
you noticed too, eh? Seriously. What up? It wasn’t like this last spring. I think enough crusty old men are in charge and on a hiring frenzy.
Funny running into you in the hall. We were all, like, “Hello”…
mig
for a second it felt like another evco plot going down.
speaking of which…

And when you men see a woman in a mini skirt and knee high pointy boots, you assume “secretary,” and not “lawyer,”
“accountant,” nor “middle level manager.” And women, when your male bosses start giving you a lot of tasks that require bending, squatting, or climbing on ladders to reach that top bookshelf, it’s time to rethink the wardrobe.

My general assumption at the international organizations (among other places) is that the eye-candy factor is more important among secretarial and other support staff than it is among the professional staff.
Or, at least, there appears to be a certain amount of correlation business going on. This post is in no way intended to express approval or disapproval of any of this.

My assumption was that your description of the ladies’ attire was meant to be observational only. My point was that women who want to be taken seriously at work need to dress seriously.
Those mini skirts and boots sound fine outfits to wear to the zoo on a Sunday afternoon!

Excuse me, ma’am, but I dropped my sardines for the seals and cannot pick it back up due to I have a sore back again, would you mind?
In a way, anywhere these women go is a zoo.
I’m assuming.
But it’s not their fault.
Jann
Oh well, you made me laugh, mig! And now I’m going to be late for work.
Sind die Kaninchen herausgekommen? Spring is in the air :)
Genau, Mig – geh Hasen jagen :-)
