How can a turkey not gain any weight for a month?
I’m staring at it (now is the 24th, morning after I posted the post) waiting for it to arrive at room temperature/for the oven to preheat) wondering. It looks a little limp, too; okay, it’s dead, I’ll grant it that… I imagine the farmer saying, shit we sold their turkey, give them a big chicken, they won’t know the difference… OTOH it’s not that small, 5kg or so; just not as big as some we’ve had, some “monsters” that barely fit into our (modest) European oven… everything is probably okay, it’s just my annual turkey angst…
