Those books are a great read, granted though only in small doses. The synopsis at the back of the book drew me too them, morbid as it was, I thought it was just really well done.

I got the series for Christmas, too, and read the first two in consecutive sittings, but had to stop halfway through the third because it was just too upsetting. Small doses, hm, must remember that. It’s amazing how much you want the kids to vanquish the villain after a while – shifting that one piece of the formula is effective. I can’t read them before bedtime.
I can read Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere, but not Lemony Snicket. Sheesh, I’m suggestible.

I’ve read all those books. They are best read in small doses. Highly entertaining in a really sick sort of way.
