I have seen way too many gruesome (yet subtle!) injuries from labrets. There really aren’t any mouth piercings that are safe: just by being there, they can cause soft tissue and osseous erosion, so unless one has a fetish for really expensive dentistry it’s not a great idea. I miss my tongue piercing so much. Sigh.
