You could think of changing browsers- I did, to Firebird and then to firefox. You can kill pop-ups with either one.

A good clue to a hi-jack is to go to configuration and check out the internet settings. Look to see what has been set as your default home page.

I’m trying out the statcounter Miss A recommended, I like the invisiblity factor. And Extreme Tracking, I’ve used before, and like the way they accumulate referrer data.

Also, now I’m not so sure about those popups I was complaining about, since I only get them from work, not at home. Could it be we have something else in the system hijacking things? I visited one of the blogs on my blogroll a couple days ago and got a whole slew of very skanky popups there too, which struck me as odd for a blogspot blog.
