Not that I would ever want to defend Disney for anything, but I read somewhere that Nemo was in development for a long time; it would be helpful to know whether that predates the French book’s genesis in 1995 (I believe one of those articles linked mentioned that date).

Also, I mean, it would probably be hard to draw one clownfish that didn’t resemble another clownfish, I’m thinking.

but oh my. the fish really does look like nemo. it will be SO ANNOYING if disney wins this case just because they have more lawyers than the french guy.
