The street beggars (only two) I noticed in Bali kept their iPads well hidden. One of the menu languages at our Ubud hotel was, however, Russian (along with English, Chinese and Japanese, I guess). I, too, like Mr. Gibson’s writing, although his prescience is disturbing sometimes.

I guess the William Gibson reference attracted my attention because I was just now reading one of his latest books that i had missed “Zero History”. While in Bali you didn’t notice any street beggars who were furtively typing on iPads hooked up to triple encrypted secret wi-fi networks, doing secret fashon forecasting for Russian mobsters did you? If so, let William Gibson know immediately… I really like his stuff.
