i swear by chamomile enemas, actually. and essence of baldrian. seriously, who’s freaking out? people are freaking out over this?
man, listen to me: this is nothing! i entered that three-day novel writing contest out of Vancouver BC once. if you think this is bad, try finishing a novel in THREE DAYS!

to be honest, i just finished typing writing for the day, and would be in no frame of mind to hold a lucid conversation with anyone quite yet. but [disclaimer: this is only the first week, the second is harder i hear] so far this had been more a major relief than anything else, because i’ve wanted to get this implausible idea for a novel out of the way so i can get going on the next one in the queue. which is a lot closer to what i imagine when i think of a novel – no real genre limitations there, no implausible assumptions. well, except for a new ice age in europe, but other than that…
