she: “take out the garbage, will you?”

he: “when you say that, i understand that you are asking me to understand that you are really saying that you wish to be cherished and adored and that i understand ho whard you work what with your fulltime job in the marketplace and your full time mothering around here, to say nothing of fixing up all the messes i make and that i value your time as much as i do my own and, by the way, you look like you have lost a little weight.”
