Ihey’d have had to scrape me off the ceiling!!! I too try not to kill them, partly because I can’t even bear to get close enough to them to kill them anyway, but I think they do a useful job too. I nearly had heart failure at work one day when I caught a movement out of the corner of my eyes and thought “Shit! I thought that was a spider”, then I realised it was a spider – a great big hairy bugger. The chap sat opposite almost passed out at the thought of removing it, you could see all the blood draining from his head. Thankfully there was another chap around who doesn’t mind them so he picked it up and threw it out the window. From the sounds of it, it headed straight for Austria in a huff! ;)
