A good friend of mine and his wife have two beautiful daughters, both sophomores in college. He’s been ‘at odds’ with them in a familial, paternal way all their lives. He has a close relationship to them, but privately he swears the best he can hope for for his precious girls is that they get a good divorce settlement (then we laugh). Personally, I don’t see how any man survives the ‘fatherhood period’- especially of two sharp, intelligent girlwomen. I guess it’s all about the sense of humor, eh?
