		<description><![CDATA[You&#039;re both right about farms. I also have good childhood memories of farms. And, last time we visited some farmer friends in the summer, it was surprising the tolerance they had built up for flies and mice. Like, she would open a cupboard to get some plates, and mice would be jumping around, and she&#039;d just take a plate and close the cupboard door again. and flies would ride the forks up to their mouths when they ate, and then fly away at the last minute to avoid getting eaten.

		<description><![CDATA[Oh yes: the stench, the noise, the little bugs flying up your nose.  My loathing of people who chew with their mouths open only came upon me after a week on a farm when I was 10.  I can still here them smacking their little piggy / cowy / goaty / turkey lips.  Agh!  Gobble!

Turkeys really truly will drown if you don&#039;t bring them in when it rains.
