Musical tone? Who cares :-)

The greatest theremin-experience is the trance like state that everybody seem to enter if you place them in front of one for just a minute. A friend of a friend of a friend used theremin-like instruments with disabled kids. They got a kick out of it. So do I.

Enjoy.

Oh yeah and (I'm guessing here) headphones might not be the perfect sollution. Sure you'll get sound out of it, but if the Russian version is anything like the Moog, you'll need an amplifier (a stereo for example) to be able to control the output level. Plus you'll get a better tone.

And Kirsten Marie, my special friend who told me about you, said you might be interested in this http://www.musik-kons.dk/diem/digdance/index.php in connection with your post on Marie Chouinard...

Have fun. From playing a little with the one my cow-orker had at my last job, I can tell you that it's very easy to get it to make horrible, horrible sounds, but not so easy to get anything resembling a musical tone.
