That would totally explain where my cats go at night when we let them out, and why they are often not hungry when they come home in the morning. Obviously there are only half as many cats in the world as we think, if they’re all using these portals.

A red cat and a grey cat, you say? The red one’s a pig, you say? Is the grey one a bit nervous?

Sounds like my cats have an interdimensional portal that lets them travel back and forth from here to Austria.

(I would have just cut off the part the cat ate and served up the rest, BTW. But I wouldn’t have told anyone.)

I would have made turkey casserole with the ‘untouched’ parts and would have taken the secret to the grave. I loved A Long Way Down, great read this time of year.

Brother, I have walked in those shoes. I have a cat who, because he is old and has IBS (god help me, it’s true) is on steroids. This makes him eat just about anything…that’s it…anything. I call him “cockroach”, among other names not fit for polite society. Just last week the cat ate like a quarter of carrot cake which was lovingly baked by mi esposa. And two days ago, she found him in the kitchen garbage can all tangled up in the netting they use for bundling up the Christmas tree for transport which I had tossed there rather than walk all the way out to the big garbage can outside…

Anyway, I know your angst.
